ICUUW YouTube videos

While organizing the ICUUW video library, I had the chance to go through the different videos and discover more about the work that ICUUW has been doing around the world. There are so many different topics, projects, events and stories in the library that it is impossible to choose only a few videos and say that these are the ones everyone should watch. Instead, I started thinking about the library from the perspective of someone who is discovering ICUUW for the first time. If I were a new visitor, which videos or topics would help me understand who ICUUW is, what we do and what kind of issues we work on?

Who we Are

The first video I would recommend is, naturally, Who We Are. I think it is a great starting point because it gives you an introduction to ICUUW and presents the organization in a very visual and interesting way. Before discovering all the different projects and activities, I think it is important to understand who is behind them, what ICUUW represents and what brings all of these different people and initiatives together. The video gives you a nice overview of the organization and, for someone who has never heard about ICUUW before, it is an easy way to start learning about who we are.

Global Women’s Projects & Impact

After getting to know the organization, I think the next thing a new visitor would probably want to see is what ICUUW actually does. This is why I found the “Global Women’s Projects & Impact” section particularly interesting. There are so many different projects included in this part of the library that I could not really choose only one to highlight. Each project shows a different way in which ICUUW’s members are working to support and empower women and communities. From education and economic empowerment to humanitarian support, there are many different examples of people putting their time and energy into making a positive change. I think this section is a great way of seeing the actual work behind the organization and understanding how the ideas and values we talk about are turned into real projects and actions.

Global Women’s Projects & Impact

Finally, I would recommend exploring the “Educational Content – Talks, Workshops & Global Issues” section. After learning who we are and seeing some of the work we are doing, this part of the library gives you a broader view of the issues that ICUUW is connected to and is working to address. The topics range from human rights and social justice to climate and sustainability and economic empowerment. These are issues that affect women and communities around the world in many different ways, and the talks and workshops give us an opportunity to learn more about them, discuss them and think about how we can help create positive change.

For me, these three parts of the video library create a nice way for someone to discover ICUUW for the first time. You can start by learning who we are, continue by seeing the work that we are doing, and then look at the wider global issues that we are trying to understand, address and improve. Of course, these are only a few of the many things that can be found in our video library, and there are many more stories, projects, events and conversations waiting to be discovered. I hope that this gives you a small reason to explore the library and perhaps discover something that inspires you as well.
