Members seek meaningful opportunities to be engaged. Support and advocate for ICUUW’s values and vision, while fueling our mission to empower women and girls worldwide!

The support and resources we provide will be:
- Relevant, culturally sensitive, and accessible (financially and physically)
- Sustainable, flexible, adaptable, and transferable
- Initiated and implemented by local women to meet specific needs
- Respectful of the capabilities of all women, everywhere
- Inclusive regardless of religion, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, class, ethnicity, or age
- Accountable to our stakeholders
Membership is open to any person at least 18 years of age. Members have full voting rights at the annual meeting if they have been members at least 60 days prior to the meeting.
ICUUW membership is effective January 1 through December 31 with the opportunity to join at any time during the year. Interested individuals will complete a membership form and make a contribution in support of the purposes of the organization. Membership fees are always for the current calendar year.
We are a global partnership of Unitarian*Universalists who work for women’s empowerment through Unitarian*Universalist connections around the world.
ICUUW offers members opportunities to:
- Belong to an inspiring and influential international organization in special consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council
- Connect and network with like-minded individuals worldwide working for women's empowerment
- Connect and network with our partner organizations and their communities
- Gain an international perspective of women’s issues
- Take advantage of opportunities for collective action
- Strengthen the women’s rights movement and help drive transformative change for women's human rights and gender justice
- Gain access to projects, initiatives, advocacy, and resources
- Speak about ICUUW’s work and advocate for its mission and vision at national and international forums
- Participate in member-led committees and task forces

- Write articles and share your story on the website and in newsletters
- Receive news and updates through our quarterly e-newsletter, webinars, e-blasts, personal responses, etc.
- Participate in member-only interest groups (e.g. a book club)

If you join the ICUUW family as a CHANGEMAKER, at the $1,000+ level/year, you will have access to the following select opportunities:
- participate in quarterly calls with the ICUUW leadership to learn about ICUUW projects and programs, providing your input
- deepen your connection with ICUUW and with the women and girls benefiting from our programs
- receive advance notice of events
- receive special recognition in our newsletters, on the website, and on social media, in consultation with you
The annual gift of $1,000 or more can be a single contribution or a pledge made and completed within the calendar year.
