This was my second trip to Transylvania. My first trip for the ICUUW convocation in 2012 was very enlightening as I was a "newbie" to ICUUW and did not know what to expect at the time. This time I had a much better understanding of our organization and was eager to learn more about what could be done to link women of the different Unitarian and UU faith traditions.
I learned so much about how Hungarian Unitarian women see their faith and the history that has influenced them. I came to learn that there has been significant modernization happening and that it is important to understand that our faith traditions are evolving in Europe, the Americas, India, and all over the world.
I feel so much closer to many of my ICUUW sisters after spending time with them in person. Zoom is an amazing technology but it can't take the place of being together in person. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity I was given to learn and grow with my sisters.
