At its March 2025 Board meeting the Board adopted the organization’s refreshed Strategic Plan which will guide our work for the next five years.

This was the second time we went through the strategic planning process guided by Kathy Burek, a professional in facilitation and consulting in strategic planning. Kathy has served on our Board (2016-2018) and is an active volunteer at many levels of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA). Our first plan served us well for five years, and it was time to renew and refresh the plan. Throughout the last year, we solicited input from our members and various stakeholders, worked through the input we received, spent time in intense discussions, and are now looking forward to implementing our plan.

Our work is guided by our mission: We are a global partnership of Unitarian*Universalists who work for all women’s and girls’ equity through Unitarian*Universalist connections around the world.

Our goals are clear: we strive towards equity for women and girls. We connect women to advance women’s leadership and self-determination. We focus on leadership development and advocacy training. We believe that progress for women in each of the areas of

  • Preventing Violence against Women
  • Strengthening girls’ and women’s Identity and Self-Worth
  • Economic Empowerment and Independence
  • Health and Reproductive Justice, and
  • Climate Justice

lifts whole societies by reducing poverty, improving the lives of families and communities, and contributing to a more peaceful, gender-equal world.

Are you working in one of these areas? Share with us what you do. Inspire others to get involved. That’s what we are all about: sharing with each other, learning from each other, advancing the cause together wherever we are in the world.
